Alcohol and Drug Information Service (ADIS)

ADIS is a confidential telephone counselling, information and referral service for the general public, concerned family and friends and health professionals. This service is run by Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia (DASSA).

ADIS is staffed by trained professionals with experience in the alcohol and other drug field. ADIS provides information about how to access other services including information about available prescribers and pharmacies.

Telephone 1300 13 1340 (South Australian callers only - local call fee) any day between 8:30am and 10:00pm.

Interstate callers can contact ADIS on (08) 7087 1743 any day between 8:30am and 10:00pm.

Counselling Online

Counselling Online provides assistance to Australian residents concerned about alcohol & other drugs. They provide free online text-based counselling for people concerned about their own drinking or drug use, linking you to local treatment services for ongoing help. The service is equally available to people concerned about a family member, relative or friend.

This service is available 24/7.
